Osteopathy in my Hands

My journey in Osteopathy began in 1989, starting on the first day in Osteopathy school and every day since the fundamental Osteopathic skill of “listening” and sensing hands has been developing. In the same way a master craftsman develops their skill working in wood and stone, an osteopath does this with living tissue and mastery takes a lifetime to achieve. A living , evolution of skill and a quality of therapeutic touch that Is so individual. No two Osteopaths have the same “signature” of touch, each is unique.
I have explored the major Osteopathic approaches of cranial, visceral, manipulation, muscle energy, applied kinesiology, soft tissue manipulation, counterstrain, fascial counterstrain, DNS and many more. This combined with over 30 years of clinical experience in treating people of all ages from new born babies, children, adults, elite athletes, adult ages, pregnant mums and the very sick has given my hands a unique signature. All Osteopaths develop this along their own path and so will differ in their approach and how you will experience their touch.
Being an effective Osteopath is dependent upon reaching an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment approach but the actual therapeutic exchange is between Osteopath and patient. Initiating change, healing, recovery comes down to multiple factors, but the basis of Osteopathy is dependent on the quality of that initiating “touch”.
