Who we Treat

Who do Osteopaths treat? More specifically who does Dr Roger Kingston treat? It is not uncommon for an Osteopath to have a specific area of interest like sports injuries or acute pain. Some may not treat babies and children.  I have been in dedicated Osteopathic Family Practice for over 30 years and am happy to see anyone. I do have an interest in babies. Family practice has allowed  me to develop a wide skill set and knowing a family helps treat the individual.

Who Do Osteopaths Treat?

What conditions do osteopaths treat? These questions are hard to answer because, to use a cliché, we treat individuals. Each person has a unique presentation, history, and understanding of how their condition affects them.

It is not enough to view someone simply as “an arthritic hip.” We look at how the issue fits into the overall picture of the person and how we can help. Focusing only on symptoms may miss the actual cause or contributing factors.

Most people we see have musculoskeletal issues or functional disorders. Our role is to understand why they are struggling, why recovery has stalled, and what is needed to address the problem in both the short and long term.

Our basic aim remains the same: to make you comfortable as quickly as possible. We also want to improve your condition so it does not bother you again.

Dr Roger Kingston is a very experienced Osteopath who remains very much in Family Practice and will treat all age groups.
